Old Firm Derbies to Proceed Without Away Supporters This Season
💡 Why it matters
This ban could set a worrying precedent for fan exclusion at high-intensity rivalries across football, impacting match atmosphere and partisan home advantage.
Celtic and Rangers have agreed with the Scottish Premiership and Premier Sports Cup to ban away fans from their derby matches for the entire 2024-25 season. The decision follows crowd disturbances at recent Ibrox fixtures.
